Another busy week of broadcasting and charitable endeavours here at Radio Bronglais. With so much going on in the world, we thought we would start a new bitesize guide of our weekly activities for you to catch up on the best bits. Enjoy!

 

Tescos Aberystwyth VS Bronglais Hospital

Sunday 3rd December saw Sam Thomas and Al Frean take up the commentators’ mantel as they produced a non-stop 2 hour live broadcast from Aberystwyth Football Club as Tescos Aberystwyth took on the mighty Bronglais General Hospital in the latest charity football match organised by the Tescos Community Team. Bronglais turned out a solid 2-0 victory over the Row-Z retailers, and helped raise over £800 on the night for two charities.

Town Councillors Pop In On Brunch

Liberal Democrat Town Councillor for Penparcau, Charlie Kingsbury, and Aberystwyth Town Deputy Mayor, Talat Chaudry, spoke to Bobby Kelly on Brunch this week. Mr Kingsbury is one of Aberystwyth’s youngest councillors at 23 years of age and former youth leader for the, whilst Plaid Cymru’s Talat Chaudry is a British Punjabi who grew up in Essex, before learning Welsh and moving to west Wales as a young adult.
